Long Beach Unified School District

INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE (English & Spanish)

Under immediate supervision, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; prepare instructional materials and provide routine clerical support; perform related duties as assigned.

RECREATIONAL AIDE

NUTRITION SERVICES WORKER

Under close supervision, assist in quantity preparation, packaging and serving of hot and cold menu items at an assigned school site or the central kitchen; assist in maintaining nutrition service facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition; perform related duties as assigned.

Long Beach Parks, Recreation & Marine

AQUATICS RECREATION LEADER

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Participate with children of various ages during all activities;
Attend all mandatory staff meetings and in-service and training sessions;
Ensure the health, safety and well being of the children in your care at all times;
Implement the department and site administrative and record keeping policies and procedures;
Perform all other assigned duties as requested by the lead staff and/or supervisor.

RECREATION LEADER

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Under direction, design, plan, and implement various program activities;
Lead activities with children of various ages during all activities;
Attend all mandatory staff meetings and in-service and training sessions;
Ensure the health, safety and well being of the children in your care at all times;
Implement the department and site administrative and record keeping policies and procedures;
Drive a City vehicle to Mobile Recreation sites;

WRAP PROGRAM LEADER

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Design, plan, and implement various program activities, including homework assistance, academic enrichment, and recreational activities;
Supervise a group of 15-20 youth in grades K-8 implementing effective behavior and classroom management techniques;
Attend all mandatory staff meetings and in-service and training sessions;
Ensure the health, safety and well being of the participants in your care at all times;
Implement the department and site administrative and record keeping policies and procedures;
Perform all other assigned duties as requested by the lead staff and/or supervisor.

Cambrian Homecare

DDS RESPITE SUPPORT

RESPITE SERVICES INCLUDE:

Temporary Relief – Giving time to caregivers to leave the home for other obligations or just time to themselves
Social Interaction – Games, homework assistance, reading, arts and crafts, and other activities
Hygiene Care – Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, diaper changes, potty training, oral hygiene, and meal preparation
Behavioral Activities – Our caregivers know how to kindly direct and redirect behaviors as needed to ensure the client’s emotional and physical safety
Maintaining Routines – Our caregivers can assist with after school care and homework routine, chores, and bedtime routine
Specialized Care – Upon request, we can assist in providing specialized or personalized care to a loved one
Sibling Care – Our caregivers can provide assistance to 1 or 2 siblings in the home while caring for the client
